After releasing a movie, his own shoe, a video game and
quieting rumors of a 50 Cent book-line with a book, From Pieces to
Weight,
and not to mention, signing an onslaught of talent to his G-Unit
label, Curtis Jackson is set to work with Steve Jobs as part of Apple’s
global social and music-based campaign.  This time, instead of musically,
the union of their work will be on an affordable home-computer unit for
inner-city residents.

Among his other various endeavors, Vitamin Water, his
own line of condoms, sex toys and… a children’s book?  The rapper is exhilarated
from his ranking on the Forbes “Celebrity 100 Power List” securely
at number eight.

In a recent Forbes magazine interview, the rapper said, “I’m
creating a foundation that will be around for a long time, because fame can
come and go or get lost in the lifestyle and the splurging…I never got into it
for the music. I got into it for the business.”

The magazine reported that Jackson
made $41 million over the last year, not solely based on music sales
alone.  His other ventures may have accounted for a substantial part of
the final sum. Chris Lighty, 50’s manager as well as the founder
of Violator Records and the management company, said of Jobs, “he’s
setting a new standard in the music business,”
explaining, “let’s
just say we get each other.”

Curiously, Sean Carter was absent from the list, as this was Jackson‘s
first time on the list.  Other notables on the list, #3 Oprah Winfrey,
#13 Muhammad Ali, #25 Kobe
Bryant,
#26 Michael Jordan, #41 Shaquille O’Neal and #82 Dave
Chappelle.
