Kanye West’s seventh studio album, The Life of Pablo, was acclaimed by fans and critics alike while sparking a frenzy of remixes and reworkings of the release. Now a Reddit user has offered his own take on West’s latest, in one of the most ambitious reworkings to date.
Dorian_Ye explained in his Reddit post that his vision for “The Life of Pablo” emerged from West’s own tinkering with the album and the several leaks that appeared ahead of its official March release. Coupled with an unfinished TIDAL version of the record, fans have heard the album in several stages of development.
To bring it all into the light, Dorian_Ye extended some tracks and reworked others using the earlier and final versions of songs while incorporating some of the original samples used to expand and blend the tracks into a seamless work. Dorian_Ye also explained that everything that was applied to the reworking was either derived from West’s album or from the original samples used.
