According to Billboard.com, New Jersey rapper Fetty Wap has signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. The website describes the newly-announced deal as “a long-term worldwide exclusive co-publishing deal.”

In a statement, Sony/ATV CEO Martin Bandier expressed his optimism concerning Fetty Wap’s deal.

“It is always refreshing when a new artist comes on the scene with a bunch of hits like Fetty Wap has, so we are thrilled that he has now decided to become part of the Sony/ATV family,” Bandier said. “With a talent like his, there is no doubt he is both the man for today as well as tomorrow.”

Fetty Wap’s publishing deal was reportedly secured with help from music publishing company, 45th And 3rd.

“We are extremely excited and over the moon that Fetty is joining the family and we look forward to working with him and all the team at RGF,” 45th And 3rd’s Tim Blacksmith said in a statement.

News of Fetty Wap’s publishing deal comes weeks after the rapper released his debut studio album, Fetty Wap.
