There’s no reason for 50 Cent to keep the initial title for his album since the new release date will be nearly three weeks after the loving holiday. Now the album is simply titled The Massacre.

“I was trying to force Interscope Records to release my record on February 15,” 50 explained to MTV, “but Interscope Records is reactive. I’m proactive, so I threw ‘Disco Inferno’ out and kinda got them to respond to me. But [The Massacre] probably wouldn’t even be coming out March 8 if I didn’t do that at that point, because this project is a big project to them, they want to have everything mapped out and it’s more mechanical this time.”

In the meanwhile, 50 is shooting videos for both “Disco Inferno” and his new single “Candy Shop.” While you can catch “Making the Video” to get a glimpse of “Candy Shop”, 50 insists that “Disco Inferno” is a little more racy than what TV is used to.

The Massacre is due to hit shelves March 8th.
