This week, Game released his fifth and final album as part of his Interscope contract, Jesus Piece, featuring guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and a slew of others. On top of dropping the LP, he fired back at FOX News for criticizing his cover art, said he’s open to a reunion with 50 Cent and G-Unit and got props from Dr. Dre. Meanwhile, Big Boi also unleashed his new album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, chopping it up with HipHopDX about his current relationship with Andre 3000 and recording a few cuts on the album. Finally, Mase popped up this week with an appearance on MTV’s “RapFix Live,” discussing how Diddy only recently let him out of his Bad Boy contract and how the mogul had blocked a potential deal with G-Unit.

Game Drops Jesus Piece, Speaks On Possible 50 Cent & G-Unit Reunion

After releasing his fourth LP The R.E.D. Album last year, Game followed this week with the fifth and final album for his Interscope contract, Jesus Piece. The feature-heavy project is on track to sell 80,000 copies in its first week, which isn’t strong enough to put him at the top of the charts like with previous albums. He chopped it up with HipHopDX about a handful of topics including supporting Frank Ocean’s coming out and a possible reconciliation with 50 Cent and G-Unit. “I never hold grudges,” he said. “I was over that beef pretty much right after it happened; I just kept it going because I could rap and it was pissing me off, and so I did that. But, peace to him on his journey and his endeavors; what he’s doing and everything.” Chuck Taylor also said that he helped clear Fif’s featuring Adam Levine, weighed in on Chris Brown and Rihanna’s relationship and got props from Dr. Dre on Jesus Piece.

Big Boi Releases Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors & Talks Andre 3000

Big Boi dropped off his latest album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors this week, marking his second official solo release. DX called the LP, which will have a soft debut with 25,000 to 30,000 copies sold, a “calculated risk that pays off for open-minded fans.” To commemorate the project’s release, Sir Lucious Left Foot spoke with DX about the LP, describing his current relationship with his Outkast partner Andre 3000. “That’s my partner,” said Big Boi, who revealed in a separate interview that Cee Lo Green was originally intended to be in Outkast. “You know, when we meet behind closed doors – And you get the articles and [it’s] ‘he said this’ and ‘he said that;’ muthafuckas taking shit outta context; they don’t really know us. That’s my brother. He comes to my house; our kids play together.” Read the full interview here.

Mase Reveals Diddy Only Recently Let Him Out Of His Bad Boy Contract

Mase has been off the scene for a minute, and the reason points to Diddy. During an interview on MTV’s “RapFix Live” earlier this week, the Harlem World leader revealed that Puff only recently let him out of his contract with Bad Boy after 16 years of keeping him in label purgatory. “I’ve been in that contract for 16 years,” he explained. “Yeah, the other day he let me out of it, so big shout-outs to Diddy. I guess he woke up feeling good and he wanted to do something good.” He also revealed that Diddy blocked a deal with G-Unit because he wanted too much money. “You know how Puff is,” he said. “I love him but you gon’ cut your arm off to get free.”
