Fresh off the release of his much anticipated Champagne & Styrofoam Cups mixtape, Fresno, California spitter Fashawn chopped it up with 2DopeBoyz.com about his newly-released project and being a quality artist making timeless music.

The West Coast emcee kicked off his interview by addressing the time it took to create Champagne & Styrofoam Cups and shared that time is usually of no limit when you’re creating “timeless music.”

“When you’re making timeless music it doesn’t matter how much time you take making it,” Fashawn revealed. “You know what I’m saying? Fans are gonna wait for it if you’re a quality artist. So I feel like I am that. So it’s no worries. No rush either.”

Fashawn also spoke on his project’s contrasting title which he says is a combination of his past and present lifestyles.

Champagne & Styrofoam Cups what it means to me is champagne represents the success, the fame, and the fortune. Everything that’s positive about my lifestyle,” said the rapper. “And the Styrofoam cups is like a reflection of the life I lived prior to the life I live now. And everything I had to do to attain the shit I got now. It’s really just me trying to find that balance in my life right now.”

Fashawn’s Champagne & Styrofoam Cups mixtape was released earlier in the week on November 20.
