Ciara and 50 Cent exchanged barbs via Twitter over the weekend after formerly being romantically linked. Rumors of the pair dating began in 2006, when they both appeared scantily clad in Ciara’s “Can’t Leave Him Alone” video. In December of 2010, the singer told talk show host Wendy Williams she was not romantically linked to 50.
“[He’s] like my best friend,” Ciara told Williams. “He’s been my best friend for years. So it’s definitely positive energy. That’s pretty much the situation. I haven’t really had the chance to do like dating over the years from my relationship with the young Bow [Wow]. I just really want to take my time, because that’s what it’s about.”
