Future and Metro Boomin‘s new album WE DON’T TRUST YOU has already made a splash with fans. And now, it’s officially expected to sell big in its debut week.

According to Hits Daily Double, the collaborative project which made landfall on Friday (March 22), is headed for a #1 debut, potentially moving over 200k units.

The album has also gained momentum on streaming platforms, with all 17 tracks breaking into Apple Music’s Top 20 on its debut day — proving the power pairing have the secret sauce.

In a recent interview with Don Cannon’s producer-centric TmrO Network, the rapper/producer touched on what makes their partnership work, saying, “Everybody I work with, I always been fans of. Like even before I met Future, I was always a fan in high school.

“So when I get with him it’s like that inner fan to me, that 10th grade fan, that junior year fan is like, ‘Okay, let me try to make a song with this n-gga that I would just be like, yeah, I wanna play this shit all the time.’ I feel like that’s the key.”

In 2022, Metro Boomin found major success with the release of Heroes & Villains which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Released on December 2, the Atlanta producer’s second studio effort earned roughly 185,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. Of that figure, 179,000 were SEA units (233.38 million on-demand song streams), 5,000 were pure album sales and 1,000 were TEA units.

Heroes & Villains also beat out Taylor Swift’s Midnights the top spot, with the pop juggernaut’s best-selling album falling to No. 2 after managing an additional 143,000 units in the last week.

The star-studded project — which features FutureTravis ScottA$AP Rocky21 SavageThe Weeknd and more — served as Metro’s third consecutive No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and his fifth to reach the top 10.

Metro Boomin’s debut album Not All Heroes Wear Capes also opened at No. 1 in 2018 with roughly 99,000 album-equivalent units, with his 2020 collaborative album with 21 Savage, Savage Mode II, also topping the Billboard 200.
