It’s awards season yet again!
The 25th Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI) awards unveiled on September 14 the full list of nominees for this year’s edition of the national music awards show, which “recognize outstanding achievements in improving the quality and quantity of artists in the mainly Indonesian-language music industry.” The AMI awards are dubbed the “Indonesian Grammys.”
Artists and their labels submit their nominations for the AMI panel to screen and produce a shortlist of final nominees. According to the music awards show’s website, they receive over a thousand song entries every year.
