MILLI is back with a new serving of “Mango Sticky Rice”!

The Thai rap superstar premiered the new single today via 88rising, accompanied by an anime-inspired visualizer.

MILLI performed the song live at 88rising’s HEAD IN THE CLOUDS FOREVER at Coachella this year, ending her now-iconic set with a bowlful of the staple Thai dessert, which consists of sweet sticky rice, coconut milk, and ripe mango. MILLI is also the first solo Thai artist to perform at the famed American music festival, following fellow Thai artist Lisa of K-pop group BLACKPINK.

The 19-year-old singer and rapper made a splash with her performances of “Mirror Mirror” (which features F.HERO and Changbin of K-pop group Stray Kids) and her remix of BIBI’s “The Weekend.”

Mango sticky rice sales in Thailand skyrocketed following MILLI’s viral performance. Within days, Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha reportedly said that the Culture Ministry is “considering registering” the local delicacy on UNESCO’s cultural heritage list.

According to NME, MILLI created the song during one of 88rising’s online meetings. “They wanted us to make a track that represents Thailand, so we settled on mango sticky rice, which is my favorite dessert.”
