So I’m sitting here racking my brain trying to figure out what the hell I’m going to talk about this month. It’s between either “The Death of the Strong Black Woman” or something that has to do with how stupid we are as consumers. As I discuss my dilemma with a few people, I end up getting asked my opinions on our culture as a whole. Every time I speak I begin my sentence with “Well in my humble opinion…” and watch as either people bug out with the words that came out of my mouth or nod in approval. So in the same vein as ESPN writer Scoop Jackson’s great piece “I believe” I bring to you IMHO (In My Humble Opinion).
IMHO The whole Game vs. 50 Cent beef was “Publicity Stunt 101.” Either the one cat from 50’s camp got overzealous and shot the guy from Compton or somebody paid dude to take that bullet. How else can you explain the impeccable timing of this series of events with it all being deaded on the anniversary of Biggie’s death.
IMHO maybe Game really had a “Change of Heart” (all puns intended).
IMHO We shouldn’t be paying so much attention to that garbage in the first place.

IMHO I can’t understand why any woman with any sense or idea of culture is considered a “bitch” or a “lesbian.” Just think of some of our finest artists and think about how they are portrayed or even think of the first thing that comes to your mind….Queen Latifah (I know the rumors but how many other women kissed a female in the mouth in a movie)? Jean Grae? Lauryn Hill (most down to earth chick now considered a “Diva”), or any round the way, coffee shop, chick with intelligence.

IMHO Omorosa was on point when she said that there is Racism in reality TV. How many reality shows have had predominantly minority contestants? And why is it that they ALWAYS have a bad attitude?
