Two talented and outspoken producers take to the legendary Delicious Vinyl in Los Angeles, CA and drop laughs, opinions and loads of perspective.
Since 1994, House Shoes has been an integral part of Detroit Hip Hop. From Elzhi and Danny Brown, to late greats Proof and J. Dilla, Shoes’ influence stretches all across “Motown” (and the Twitter-sphere). Long time friend, Willie B is arguably best known for his work as part of TDE production team Digi+Phonics (he crafted Kendrick Lamar’s riotous “Rigamortis,” by the way), but that’s just a piece of the biography. Willie is one of resurgent Los Angeles’ most diverse producers and innovative thinkers. In July 2013, he released the first ever beat tape on Instagram. Few pairs are more entertaining.
In Episode One of HipHopDX’s series of shorts, Overheard At Delicious Vinyl, House Shoes and Willie B compare the legacies of Kendrick Lamar and J. Dilla.
