Twitter Is Accusing People Of “Switching Sides” In Response To Meek Mill’s “Dreamchasers 4”

Meek Mill dropped his latest mixtape Dreamchasers 4 today (October 28) and, needless to say, social media is ablaze.

Fans of the Philly rapper have been waiting for him to drop the fourth installment of the Dreamchasers series since he announced it last year. After teasing tracks, tracklists, cover art and features, the full thing is finally here and the verdict is slowly coming in.

Regardless of how Meek Mill’s new record is doing in the streets, it’s winning a lot of praise in the tweets — with plenty of Twitter users taking the opportunity to have sly jabs at Drake (and his alleged ghostwriting team).

Many are also accusing others of “switching teams” after calling Meek Mill washed up following his beef with Drake.

Other rappers, such as MMG boss Rick Ross, Fabolous and Lil Durk, have already tweeted their support for the project, as has football player Breshad Perriman and soccer player Ravel Morrison. And yes, Wale gave his obligatory promo tweet while DC4 featured artist Tory Lanez (who has his own beef with Drake) chimed in as well.

    Here’s the DC4 co-signs:

Here are the warnings to not switch sides:

Here’s the internet imagining the reaction of Drake and his team:

And here’s some general praise for the project:

Even Diddy himself is getting in on the action:

Safe to say that early reviews look good for Dreamchasers 4

    1. IT’S LIKE THIS GUY PAID THE WHOLE RAP INDUSTRY FOR THOSE TWEETS!!!! HE’S STILL WEARING THAT “L”‘ THO!!!!

    2. I mean, it’s the same old Meek Mill. If you a Meek fan then you’ll like this. All his joints sound the same.

    3. Lmfaoooo yeaa rightt.. it was decent but it was NOT ???? only real meek fan like myself can admit that…. it def coulda been better especially after 2 year wait

        1. Quit Hating chump Beanz already said he didn’t help Meek write he gave a few bars to Omelly. Meek wasn’t even there FOH hating ass nigga

    5. People kill me with this team shit. Either you make good music or not. Meek Mill is wack. He’s always been. Who gives a shit if people are tweeting his album in the industry since the same industry has been putting him on features for damn near 10 years now, so obviously they like him despite him acting like he’s some kind of under dog that everybody was against. Bottom line is that dude can’t rap.

    6. Shit mediocre like all Drake albums, never find this type of shit in my playlist I don’t give a fuck who thinks it’s dope.

    7. On ‘Aint Me’ from the Dreamchasers 3 Meek actually raps ‘you don’t have to like my shit / paid for the flow, I don’t write my shit’. Go and listen.

Funny that no one actually listens to the lyrics of these songs.

    8. Hahaha Drake said it was going to be his summer…But nothing he did could prepare him for his fall. Meek with the fire.

    9. lol all the hype for this? bunch of screaming.. all those retweets his rap friends lol nobody even cares about dc4… gonna sell 20-40k if hes lucky

      1. That’s the dumbest thing I heard. He probably moved that yesterday alone. He never dropped anything that sold LESS than 40k. You’re just being ignorant now.

    10. lol @ caring for any these wack dudes. Cant believe how cluesless most hip hop fans are today, with the amount of dope shit out right now, people think garbage like this is fire hhahhaha

    11. STR8 GARBAGE y’all fuck niggas just dick riding this weak ass nigga been waiting on dc4 for this bullshit nigga please ????? Rip lil snupe

    12. Wasn’t a fan of DC 4. Haven’t heard everything but I gave it a listen. Sounds very much like everything else. And not to say Meek shouldn’t sound like himself, but the beats and lyrics and delivery have not Too much variation. Maybe I’m missing something. Past DC’s (1&2 specifically) was hot. This is just the same ol, same ol. I’m a go back and listen to my old stuff.

    13. U can never take the real out the real because the fake run and the real stand up,keep it going Dream chaser understand the title it’s in all of us one

    15. Lol ….b.s …i dont give a fuck what yall say fuck meek…on my hustlaz shit…trap or die 3. Young jeezy is way doper…meek has no passion for the game..sounds beat up n wack

    16. Not surprised, this generation and social media have created the most fake, fickle, fraudulent environment mankind has ever known

    17. If you say this shit wack u a lame hands down every nigga in the streets on this ho and that trap or die 3 right now That nigga ate almost every track on that bitch but I can understand why drake fans and backpack rapper loving mfs don’t like it cause u can’t relate to the shit he talking about

    18. This album is completely gassed. Meek Mill needs to give Quavo, and Young Thug their flow back. Blessed Up sounds like Levels, same hook pattern. Blue Notes half the time I’m asking myself what he’s saying. He repeats the same Sig Sauer bar on both Litty, and Tony Story 3. Did he put himself in the Kendrick, and J Cole conversation for best MCs, not even close. This dude has learned nothing from Beanie Sigel about maturation as an artist. Basically only Meek Mill song you need in your playlist is Dreams and Nightmares Intro, and Jump Out the Face with Future, everything else is watered down versions to those 2 songs. Jay Z had State Property, Nas had AZ. Meek needs to spend more time around Rick Ross, Wale, and MMG, and less time with the Chasers. Creatively he’s becoming generic, and he’s only mimicking the young hot artist blowing up. He needs to go back to his roots, MMG, and surround himself with different creative minds that could help him transform from a hood rapper, to a street poet. Meek has all the gifts, he just doesn’t have the discipline, or right support system to help him elevate himself to a hip hop icon. He wants to be the best, he’s going to have to learn how to trust the process. Tupac became 2Pac by taking chances, and allowing himself to leave his comfort zone. Dear Mama, and Keep Your Head Up were commercial radio singles, that no one knew for certain would define its generation. I’m rooting for Meek Mill, but often times harsh criticism is the best criticism.

        1. I’m from where niggas pull your card, and ARGUE ALL DAY about who’s the best MCs, Biggie, Jay-Z, and Nas.

    19. Lame Biggaz and Hating Biggaz aside this DC4 nice af! I don’t think it’s better than DWMTM but I definitely think you can listen to it from front to back without skipping a song!

    20. THIS HIPHOP AND ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN, NOBODY TALKED ALOT WHEN THAT SMALL GAME DROPPED 1992, BUT MEEK HAS DONE IT AGAIN AND YALL MAD AT IT BECOUSE HE IS STILL WINNING THE STREET.WHO THE FUCK IS THE GAME BRINGING THOSE CHILDISH MEMES DISSING ANIGGA WHO IS WINNING ON

    21. Lol rap fans are the biggest losers haha…

Arguing back and forth about some loser from Dirty ass bum city an neighborhood lived in North Philly when i USED to listen to rap before i grew up we ALWAYS used to skip Meek Mill and trash him whenever he was on a freestyle ‘ or whatever..bebecause he was always whack AF
