Twitter Gets In Its Feelings Over Future’s “HNDRXX” Album

It’s not unusual for Future to release two projects within a month at the top of the year however, what makes the Atlanta Super Trapper’s recent releases so special is that instead of it being the usual mixtape and then album combo, he’s given fans two albums in the form of Future and HNDRXX.

Former friend and manager Rocko may or may not have something to do with both projects being released as an album as a result of Rocko Da Don’s ongoing lawsuit, but that didn’t slow down any of the hype for the LPs.

The listeners’ reaction in response to Future has been mostly mixed, while reactions to HNDRXX understandably come coupled with a bit of spirited emotion from the internet. Some fans are dubbing it as Future’s form of Beyonce’s LEMONDAE or Drake’s Take Care because of its heartfelt lyricism.

The FBG General described this album as being what his 2014 release Honest should have been during his interview on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio show. He also acknowledged that a particular song on HNDRXX may become a source of controversy.

“It might get more attention than I want it to get,” he told Lowe. “It might get the wrong attention, it might get great attention. Who knows? I just know it’s a song I feel good about. This is me not holding anything back.”

The first cut off HNDRXX, “My Collective,” immediately addresses his relationship with lean and his son, saying neither one has to do with the other coinciding with Future’s goals of being as honest as possible with this record. He also goes on to address his relationship with Ciara, lawsuits, betrayal and falling in love throughout the 17-track album.

    1. “twitter gets in its feelings” – corniest shit I’ve ever read. Did you not choose what twitter posts you want people to see? how does twitter “get in its feelings”. Does hiphopdx only market towards inbreds and 13 year olds?

        1. Youre right. We should just stay silent and accept what material is fed to us. Biased or not. My Bad.

            1. Nah issa guy.. you must be the type to get triggered because you’re afraid to use the bathroom of the gender you were really born with. Cherise can get it though

    2. Cherise… I have to tell you honey…. those 15 people you posted do not represent the Twitter. Besides, Future sucks ASS and did that nigga really start singing? Are they rappers or are they auto-tune singers? I say they are mentaly Retarded like Hopsin said, and only retards listen to retards. PS: Twitter is not Hip Hop

    3. This album is not that good I’ve listen to it twice once this morning and late this evening. Hiphopdx gotta be on drake and future payroll because yall be hyping them up for no reason.

    4. Mess up he dropping his hottest work at a time were he can’t really make max money on it, To me this album was average not as bad as usually short bus rappers but still not good. This will prob be one of his best selling albums, this is his that main album in his career and Rocko about to get paid, the record company is about to get paid, future contract is mess up by the time they get out of his pocket he won’t be hot anymore, black artist especially rappers usually f up the business, dude should have just paid Rocko off on a lump sum, especially if you know he deserve it and tried for you. Now his money mess up bad, rappers gotta do better on the business side, You would have thought they would have learn by now.

      1. I agree with what you saying, but also you gotta give Rocko credit for being a good business man, he pulled that Eazy E move on future, basically you can go where you want but I’m gonna get paid, same thing Eazy did to Dre after Dre thought he was going to play Eazy, E pulled that Boss move on him and flexed, Eazy E got 0.50 cent’s for every unit a dr dre album sold and 0.25 cent’s for every unit sold on a produce doc dre album so when death row was hot with dre and snoop Eazy was getting paid off them. Rocko was smart and he about to get paid.

      2. Not all rappers Nate G. currensy is independent and makes more music than most mainstream artists. He does not have a 360 deal and may sell less but walks away with more. 2 chains is very active in business he has a very impressive real estate portfolio. He knows that the only way to make money through rap is to appeal to the lowest common denominator. If he was rapping about marketing systems and buy and hold strategies he knows no one would buy. It would be categorized in the backpack rap category and sit. Rap is a hustle. Future showed his hand as a hustler by his negligence in my opinion. Too concerned with posting on 40 year old hoes Instagram accounts. When future raps about bands, it isn’t authentic. If he was who he said he was, we wouldn’t be hearing about dumb move costing him 100’s of thousands of dollars.

    5. music for the softys, just like pop talks about love and drama now hip hop goes into love and drama
