Hip Hop artists have to possess a certain amount of bravado to even jump in the ring. Evidently, Tory Lanez has plenty. On Wednesday night (January 23), the Canadian MC hopped on Twitter to let his 1.5 million followers he’s the G.O.A.T.
“IM THE BEST RAPPER ALIVE RIGHT NOW,” he wrote in all caps. “I WILL BODY ANY OF YALL NIGGAS OUT! PERIOD.”
Lanez added, “And for anybody denying what I’m saying … that’s cool.. just remember your favorite rapper wouldn’t step up the last time. BECAUSE NIGGAS IS AFRAID OF THIS WORK.”
The Love Me Now? creator then brought J. Cole and Pusha T into the mix who he claims weren’t prepared to battle him in the past.
“Don’t tell me nothing about Cole or Pusha T Either,” he continued. “Some of my favorite rappers but …. I gave them both an equal opportunity to go bar for bar with me. And they weren’t READY.”
Lanez ended his tirade with a prediction. He wholeheartedly believes he will transcend all other artists in due time.
“I will become the biggest artist in the world one day,” he wrote. “I will also be known as the best artist at all aspects of my craft. I don’t care if u doubt me now. You will see for yourself in due time.
Lanez has been feeling himself for quite awhile. More recently, he and Joyner Lucas lightheartedly swapped diss tracks after Lanez slighted Lucas on Instagram. During their war of words, Lanez said he would “body” Pusha, too.
Last month, Lanez caught a beatdown threat from Royce Da 5’9 after he told the Slaughterhouse vet to “suck my dick.” Their short-lived “beef” was quickly put to rest without any diss tracks or physical confrontations.
