It’s always a good week in the Top Singles world when almost all of the songs are brand new. While DJ Khaled is still hanging on this week at #10 with his Nas, Scarface, and DJ Premier-assisted “Hip Hop,” for the most part everything else is a recent release. There is a bit of controversy on the list this week, with a couple of diss tracks that surfaced. Whoever said a little beef was bad for you (besides the Surgeon General)? As long as it’s all in good fun, then it’s fine. Let’s hope this all stays on wax.
Eminem Lends a Helping Hand to Slaughterhouse
On Tuesday (August 28th), we’ll finally get the Slaughterhouse debut welcome to: Our House. Slaughterhouse gets a ton of love here at DX, along with Eminem. So having the Shady 2.0 horsemen linking with the Shadefather for two tracks was a definite win this week. At #1 is the sorta title track “Our House” with Eminem and Skylar Grey. Is Skylar joining the Shady regime? Perhaps. She was on “I Need a Doctor” and penned Rihanna’s parts for “Love the Way You Lie.” Em shows up for Slaughterhouse again at #2 with “Throw That.” This week was a busy one for Slaughterhouse, but next week will be even busier.
Lil Wayne and Diddy Served Beef From Donny Goines and Shyne
This came out of nowhere. At #3, Donny Goines airs out his grievances against Lil Wayne (kinda) on “F*ck Lil Wayne (Flat Out I Don’t Like You).” It’s a bold statement in fact, and how Wayne will respond (if at all) is what the world is really wondering at this point. Lil Wayne still popped up on our list two other times: at #4 helping Game on “Celebration” and at #8 with Busta Rhymes on “Pressure.” Game popped up again at #9 on Tyga’s “Switch Lanes.” The other diss track this week comes from some long-standing beef. Shyne says “You’re Welcome” to Diddy at #6. Maybe Diddy will respond with “Thank You.”

WTF happened to singles sales???? Not many good songs up there
Gotta say after initial disappointment I’m starting to like the Slaughterhouse album… It’s defiantly getting my money.
@CJonno90 the only song that im disappointed in is ‘Coffin” …the rest is pure genius…imma cop the album
INTERNET KILLED THE SALES OF ALBUNS/SINGLES
Now look at this, how the hell are people still saying the Slaughterhouse album is gonna flop?!
Sure they put out a couple of more “sell-out” songs; Throw It Away & My Life, mainly, but it’s their first album on a major label with major promotion, they were bound to have a few songs made specifically for radio play. But the ‘On The House’ mixtape was lyrical fire, as is ‘Our House’
So before you reply to this calling me a Slaughterhouse dick rider, or stupid Stan or whatever, look at the music, and don’t be completely put off by an album from a couple of singles you don’t like, give it a chance, hopefully, it’ll deliver.
If you are implying the the 10 most popular songs on hhdx have any reflection on records sales you are an utter idiot.
big krit gets alot of comments on this site as well. I guess that means he gonna go platinum too?
Well I don’t think it’s gonna flop even when the numbers come in people will still say it flopped, because it only flops when it doesn’t meet the expectations and I think they expect Slaughterhouse to sell between 40k – 60k in the first week.
Yawn..another boring week of garbage.
I’m a fan of Slaughterhouse, but I just couldn’t get into Welcome to: Our House. With the exception of a few songs, I just can’t fuck with it. But hey, if any of you out there enjoyed it, great. Go cop it if you liked it.
