The Hip Hop community was dealt a devastating blow when MC Sean Price unexpectedly passed away in 2015. On August 8, which marks the two-year anniversary of the Duck Down legend’s death, his fourth studio album, Imperius Rex, is being unleashed into the world.

In anticipation of the posthumous release, the Duck Down camp has shared the tracklist and official cover art alongside an animated video for the title track, which portrays Price as a king of cartoon gorillas.

Heralded for his witty punchlines, fierce bars and descriptive metaphors, the Brooklyn-bred rapper earned the respect of his peers throughout the course of his career. The 16-track project is packed with all new music and features notable MCs like DOOM, Styles P, Smif N Wessun, Method Man, Freeway, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, and the late Prodigy.

Ahead of the album’s release, fans can purchase limited edition bundles that include an 84-page hardcover book packaged with rare photos, exclusive fan art, album cover poster and a Sean Price Challenge coin.

    1. Forever Sean P aka Ruck. The man was a straight animal on the mic. His memory and music lives on forever!

    2. Damn! That last line from Styles P kinda fucked me up tho! Also I though his latest album was Songs In The Key Of Price and not Mic Tyson?

    3. Love this dude for life he was one of my favorite rappers but I got to be real his music was never as good after he released Jesus price superstar.

    4. P! is flying heads from the grave, this album is a complete banger from start to end and nothing will compare for the rest of the year, it’s a real shame that the legend isn’t alive to take on the wack and retarded clowns that pass for rappers these days.

    5. Considering how important this album is to Sean Price’s family (personal & BCC), I was hoping A NEW hhdx article would surface on the day of the release. Maybe he’s ranked too high in my favorites for me to expect this but I guess we have to settle for what we get when it comes to Underground
