Trizzash, like the rest of broke woman beater Nas’ career. That Al Jarreau joint is the worst song to drop this year, no cap. Save your time and ears and check out Queen BEY’s Lion King album. King HOV’s verse on “Mood 4 Eva” is better than anything on Lost Trash 2. It’s the ROC in here!
Nas please stop.ur greatness u the ?
LMAO Best troll on this website ever
I’m a big Nas fan and this guy used to piss me off so bad at first but then I started to expect him to show up and now I find him hilarious. He’s the most consistent troll of all time…he has reached legendary status just like the Queenbridge MC he trolls so hard for lol
His 10 years of consistent Nas trolling really is an homage to Nas. If Nas died, he be lost in the world like Magneto without Professor X. Dude should tell his story though. You can’t just hate a guy you don’t know THAT much. What happened to bring him there? “Memoirs of a Troll”, the new F Queensbridge Album.
Facts loooooooooooool
Jay Z on the Lion King Album.. hahahahahaha dude you are a joke! Jay Z on the The Lion KIng album everyone! Hahahahahaha Nas GOAT nukka!!
His old shhh better than your new ish. Hip Hop is still dead.
Hip Hop NEVER died. It only died to lazy cats. Dope shit ALWAYS out there. You just gotta dig.
They don’t like digging lol, they want the mainstream to supply them with everything.
Idc if it’s too early, I’m stamping it as a instant classic in my book, so much substance, solid production, he didn’t dissapoint on delivering them bars….but sadly nobody will cop the album as usual.
5th best all time rapper after Jay Z, Biggie, PAC n Drake.
Nas better than all of them bar 4 bar. Who else on that list rapped a story in REVERSE? (Rewind) And take that RnB singer off the list. Compare him with RnB cats.
Nasir ain’t better than Hov bar for bar imo, he is a better storyteller though.
Are you crazy in your ass?
Are you a retard?
No, but your simple minded ass might be lol.
You are some kind of an idiot! Hov raps are no where Nas’s rhymes. Get out of here with that man!
Bruh, kill that Stan shit. You cats act like no one can have an opinion that goes against the grain lmao. Probably think Nas dropped nothing but classics since illmatic huh? Lmao
You got one guy who raps about damn near everything and another who only brags about what he has like an insecure 14 year old, and you say the latter is better?
Nas was all over the place with his content, some were hits and misses. One minute he was a prophet and a pro black activist, then he was a baller, and a part time gangster lol, then came the conspiracy theories lmao. Dude wasn’t and still isn’t perfect. One of the greatest, but damn let y’all tell it, dude walked on water lmao. Hov was more consistent with his image and content. A lot of you guys skip over that because you don’t like him.
So Jayz who pretty much only talks about base, selfish things like money brand names and how great he is, is preferable to a guy who actually raps about substantive things like the state of Africa, love, heartbreak and politics?
Also don’t even come at me with the jayz does that too? He merely scratches the surface barely then quickly circles back to how great he is, often in the same verse.
So Jay doesn’t have songs/lyrics that revolve around love, hatred, betrayal, black empowerment, putting yourself around a good group of friends/team, looking out for one another, music that’s uplifting for anyone with a hustler’s mindset? I see why he asked do people listen to his music, or skim through it. I don’t need Jay to be political, I don’t need Jay to mention anything about Africa, I don’t need Jay mentioning anything about Aliens or being against vaccines lmao (like Nas has). In some ways it makes Nas come off as hypocritical (or at the very least, inconsistent). Having songs like black girl lost, then it’s back to bitches and hoes type of songs on the same album lmao. One minute he was against alcohol, calling it poison, now he can be seen being involved in with Hennessy and their commercials lmao. Tried being an activist, while still writing lyrics that includes himself shooting, robbing, and killing other black men lol. Just because Nas touches on more subjects (especially when he didn’t always go past the surface level himself with some of his subjects), doesn’t mean that I should favor his lyrics over Hov’s. That’s the point, all of this is subjective.
Human beings are complex, and that complexity does not make them hypocritical. Tupac had the same criticism against him and that was garbage too. Basically in “staying consistent”, jayz has become a caricature. In every situation hes gotta act like hes the big dog and in top of stuff. for reference, look at that “apology” to beyonce for cheating. He basically comes at like hes Michael corleone. Its insincere af. Same with all his more introspective material. Having one semi deep song surrounded by songs that do nothing but talk about how much money he has dilutes the hell out of whatever message he may be trying to get across.
It’s one thing to be complex, even having views that can change down the road later. This dude had songs with switch’s going in different directions with its messages on the same albums lmao, so I don’t know how one can’t see that some of Nas’s albums are diluted themselves. And somehow you still give him a pass, I get it, he’s probably in your top three. jay isn’t perfect, but at least he knows what lane he wants to be in. And why does a rapper have to be so humble on the mic? Lol Let that man brag about his status, which I assume didn’t come over night.

4 all of those that r true fans of hip-hop/rap, it’s slowly but surely making comeback. This shit is fire, I don’t care what nobody says! Lost, Queens Wolf, QB Politics, The Art Of It, & Tanasia go hard. S/O 2 Freddie Gibbs & Madlib as well 4 giving us that Bandana banger. I’m keeping both on repeat this whole summer.
Some great cuts on here: War Against Love, No Bad Energy, It Never Ends, QueensBridge Politics, You Mean the World to Me, plus others. Generally impressed with the album–too many songs though; would be better with 13-14 tracks.
LEGEND
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Shouldve stayed lost 1/5
We got a mumble rap fan here..
And we have a Stan here lmao.
Why the comments showing?
*not
This album is weird, sloppy, and bizarre. And I love it. It sounds like an album a local MC made in his attic, and that’s exactly what I wanted to hear from Nas. I like the mistakes. It hunanizes it. Rappers started taking themselves way too seriously, including Nas, and when you hear the flawed tracks sometimes it makes it relatable. I love the originality, especially Queens Wolf. I’ve watched Nas’s whole career since he came out, when I was 12. I’m proud of him, for lack of a better word. Peace.
Its not a future album. It’s not going to be some sing songy bs. Be patient, give it a few listens, itll come together for you.
…what?
Fireeeeeeeee, damn best shit of the year
As a complication album is a very decent work. To be honest- i like it more then Nasir
This is planets away from Nasir
I actually liked Nasir, but you guys are right. This is definitely better.
Easy classic, fireeeeeeeeeee
Fuckin masterpiece
HOW COULD YOU LEAVE RZA OUT OF THIS LIST?
Nas’ new project is comprised of 16 tracks. Production is handled by some of Hip Hop’s top beatmakers, including Kanye West, Pete Rock, The Alchemist, Pharrell, No I.D. and Hit-Boy.
Cause the writers suck
patrick mcgovern
Classic. This generation of fans arent going to get it. Theres a lot of depth, a lot of substance and generally will take a lot more than one listen to process. Instagramers and snapchaters lack the attention span for that.
This has redeemed himself from the garbage album he put out with Kanye, Vernon Family is fire
Classic. So much substance here. Not for instagrammers and snapchaters. They dont have the attention span for this.
one of the best nas projects no gas.
A few throaways that he could have left in the vault, but the shit is still fire. Even with the throwaways, a better album than 95% of your favorite rappers’ projects.
Still?
..the King
Listening to this right now! Complete fire. Nas GOAT
i havent made it past The Art Of It yet…. hopefully at some point the repeat button unsticks
This album should get a fucking grammy hottest shit all summer!
Until bizzy bone drops carbon monoxide album…i heard a sneak peak at it …super fucking fire…e1999 times
This is quality hip-hop… and that last song… damn
You on point bro… last song amazing… I like Pete rock joint and swizz surprised me with the first track
Thank god for NAS. I love it. Masterpiece
Dope af! Even Nas’ throwaways are better than some rappers’ best material.
No drake feauture = no listens. Not even worth my time to listen to this old washed up hasbin. Get a drake feature or your music will end up eith under 1k sales and no listens.
You sound “STUPID”…….know your history dumbass!
lol Drake aint nothing compared to Nas wtf kid ?
This shit is waaaay better than I expected it to be. Welcome back, GOAT.
Dope playlist he just had one bad track and that was adult film but the rest of it is fire.
wtf ur talking about ?? adult film is probably one of the best track of this album
I really like this it’s better than Nasir was..claasic hip hop with substance, Nas is forever one of the goats..
I love Tanasia & Highly Favored they sleep on the RZA! It’s foul not to mention him in this article! 2 slept on tracks real talk!
Can’t believe like this shit. Shit seems like there is no consistency and the topics are irrelevant. Maybe it gotta grow on me
Just so you know, you’re a blithering idiot..
It’s a fuckin compilation of unreleased material. Why the fuck would there be a consistent theme? And the topics are irrelevant? Wtf does that stupid shit even mean???♂️??♂️??♂️??♂️??♂️
That’s like putting out the first IPhone that came out in 2007, today. Shit was good for its time
Please don’t use your brain. You’re just going to embarrass yourself. How do you compare technology (which is headed towards obsolescence as soon as it is created) to music (which can be timeless)? Using your little analogy, we should throw out all the old music and limit ourselves to that shitty ass mumble rap you dimwitted ADD suffering kids love so much.
One of the BEST TO EVER DO IT!!
Jarreau of Rap has been stuck in my head all day. 45 minute ride to work and kept the album on both ways. Happy to get “new” music from my favorite emcee!
The Art of It…. Dope song.. bad hook
Perfect hook
The Nas/Jay-Z argument is dumb. Listen man, there’s not that many great MCs in the history of rap, especially ones that have been around for 25 years. You don’t have to ‘pick’ one. They’re different. Jay-Z is like a great shortstop that never makes an error but rarely makes an amazing play. Nas is like a great shortstop that makes a lot of errors but makes dazzling plays that nobody else can make. There’s nothing to be gained by feeling like it’s gotta be one or the other. Peace.
That rarely makes an amazing play? What more did he have to do/say? Lmao
Something more than the one dimensional bling bling trash
He’s made songs that don’t focus on the bling bling type shit too fam. Reasonable Doubt has these tracks, Black Album, American Gangster, to 4:44. When he goes outside of the usual content, some folks question the authenticity of it, as someone below did, in regards to him making a song about the time he cheated on his wife.
Saying Jay only raps about bling is simply not true, and is just an echo of what other people say. Jay, although he doesn’t get very personal, he definitely has more substance in his music than he gets credit for. He speaks on the current events, and he drops applicable game, especially for hustlers, entrepreneurs, and aspiring rappers. People only hear what they want to though, and people are mostly simple minded, so if they decided 15-20 years ago when they were 15 that they don’t like Jay then they’re not even gonna allow themselves to like anything he does, even if it’s ill, which 90% of the time it is. But that’s childish, and you’re missing out on a brilliant career of a guy whose loyalty has ALWAYS been to Hiphop. Peace.
What I mean is, Jay-Z never makes a ‘WACK’ song, but because he doesn’t take the risks Nas does, and because he’s not willing to be personal, he never makes that song that really stays with you for a long time. Here’s another analogy for you. Jay-Z is Mayweather – he never loses but he never scores a spectacular knockout, he plays it safe and wins on points. Nas is Pacquiao – he loses fights sometimes, but scores spectacular knockouts because he’s willing to take risks in the ring. Lighten up bro..you seem a little mad for some reason. Isn’t this good for hiphop?
How do I seem mad, when I included “lmao” in my original post? Lol I enjoy going back and forth with folks on here, it’s nothing personal. Might not agree with your opinion, but it’s cool to see what others think.
I would like to know which songs where made for _____album ( hip hop is dead, nasir etc) just to know what kinda sound he was tryna make for each album
See his Tidal interview
Is Nas the Goat? He’s close. Rap to me is pre Rakim and post Rakim. Rakin changed rap forever and nas comes under that. I want to say Nas is the goat but I can’t because of the fact above
Nas is definitely in the conversation, with I’d say about 5-6 other MCs. Big Daddy Kane has to be in that conversation. Rakim was ill, no doubt, and he did change the game. But Kane was so versatile and lyrically athletic. I have to put Jay-Z in the conversation too to the chagrin of many Nas fans I’m sure. There’s no denying how nice he is, and he’s had an unprecedented run. Peace.
You can say that with lots of rappers tho. Rap before Wu-Tang rap after. Rap before deathrow rap after deathrow. Rakim was groundbreaking but Nas perfected it. And his high point higher than Rakims
If you are not of a certain age you probably won’t understand my point. Rakim influences wu tang, nas, az, kurrupt etc. Yes nas high point is higher but rappers rap the way they do now because of Rakim. Literally rap was more party and less cerebral before Rakim.

There’s more than one goats in hip hop. Nas is DEFINITELY one of them.
I’m just reading the comments and it feels good to see people debating about hip hop..tired of records with da baby, baby, lil baby, lil crazy, lil pump, lil Debbie cake, lil bowl of jello, lil hamburger no mustard and all featuring Drake..God Bless Hip Hop..well done Nas #Queens #DopeAlbum #BestLyracistEver
Its dope, not what I expected. Some songs are really nice like no bad energy, war against love, queens wolf, others are like mmeh track 3 and 4. Feels like life is good should have been a double album. It gets a 3.5 from me its jazzy and deep!
sounds like fire so far first 2 tracks, why can’t every album of his sound like this?
