Kendrick Lamar & ScHoolboy Q Bring Out Big Sean & Ty Dolla $ign To Perform At TDE’s Second Annual Holiday Concert; Video Released

    A video of Top Dawg Entertainment’s second-annual holiday toy giveaway and concert has been released on the imprint’s YouTube page.

    The clip is a highlight reel of sorts that features short portions of the live performances from TDE acts Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolBoy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, SZA and Isaiah Rashad, as well as Big Sean, Ty Dolla $ign and Glasses Malone.

    Kendrick Lamar brought out Big Sean and ScHoolboy Q welcomed Ty Dolla $ign to perform at Top Dawg Entertainment’s second annual holiday toy giveaway and concert yesterday (December 22), according to various social media posts and video from Front Row Live Entertainment.

    Big Sean performed “Blessings” and “IDFWU” and Ty Dolla $ign performed “Blase.”

    The entire TDE roster performed at the event, which was held at the Nickerson Gardens Projects in Watts, California where Jay Rock and CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith both grew up.

    Lamar performed “King Kunta” and “Alright”off To Pimp a Butterfly. ScHoolboy Q gave fans a live version of “Studio.” Black Hippy, comprised of the two plus Ab-Soul and Jay Rock. performed “Vice City,” a cut from Jay Rock’s 90059 album.

    Isaiah Rashad sang “R.I.P. Kevin Miller” and SZA sang “Easy Bake.”

    The label also gave out Christmas presents to local children, according to writer Andres Tardio, who was in attendance.

    Top Dawg Entertainment hosted its second annual holiday toy drive today (December 22).

    The label said that the event was going to happen rain or shine when there were scattered storms throughout the Los Angeles area.

    In attendance at Nickerson Gardens were Murs, Glasses Malone and Jay Rock.

    Writer Andeas Hale posted on Instagram that Kendrick Lamar was working on a promotional project with the children for Reebok.

    The crowd was waiting for a performance from the TDE roster at the time of publication.

    Last year, Lamar, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, ScHoolboy Q, SZA and Isaiah Rashad performed for the community. The label handed out toys and shoes to the local children.

    1. I been listening to Kendrick for a few years now and I remember telling people in school that he was gonna be making a big sound in hip hop. I been at all his concerts in mass and I will see every one that he comes for its awesome to see a legend in my own time and being able to say that I saw it be for it happened. im not gonna argue with people with what im about to say but, he is the tupac of our time….
