Lupe Fiasco has decided to show the world just how much he loves his video games in the new video for his single, “Channel No. 3.”

On Friday (July 7), the Chicago rap artist released the visual to “Channel No. 3” which shows a younger, animated version of himself moving through various scenarios where he’s toying around with an assortment of games from yesteryear that include the Nintendo 64, Playstation, Dreamcast, and more.

The track itself sounds like a throwback to Lupe’s early Food and Liquor days with a slow, soulful breakbeat and him rhyming as if he’s just relaxing on a comfortable couch in the studio.

“If my Nintendo could talk and the door was a jaw/And the cartridge was a tongue, it’d say, “Come”/You can meet the final boss if you don’t take a loss, so/Just know when to run/Or when to jump or just when to slide/Know where the secrets are (Are)/Know where the treasure hides (Hides)/Pleasure televised (‘Ised), computеr terrorize (‘Ize)/But I got thе cheat code so I will never die,” he raps.

Aside from confessing his love for video games, the “Kick, Push” rapper also flexed on a fan who called his new single “ass.”

In June, Lupe released the melodic and hi-hat driven single “Outside” with the tag: “All Proceeds To My Chain #APTMC.” A departure from his bar-heavy style, the cut features a noticeably limited vocabulary and thus had the crowd split.

Lupe announced the release of the song on social media and it started to generate quite a few negative reviews from fans. One Twitter user commented on Lupe’s previous post, writing: “this is ass, brother.”

Clearly unfazed by the criticism, the 41-year-old wordsmith retweeted the remark with a selfie of himself in a Lamborghini truck.

Sticking to his banter with fans, in May, Lupe Fiasco defended his decision to not sign a fan’s sneakers at a previous concert.

At the time, Lupe responded to a tweet which called him out for allegedly cursing out a fan who asked him to sign his Nike SBs.

“@LupeFiasco also a few days ago at the free concert he had cussed my homie put cause asked lupe to sign his sbs got mad they wasnt his sz or something called him a bastard hella shit,” the fan wrote on Twitter.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper clarified that he indeed declined to sign the pair of kicks and doesn’t want to at future shows, but it was all done in a joking matter as the fan had a laugh at the previous exchange as well.

“That’s cap…I was joking with dude…he was laughing too…nobody took that serious but you… And just fyi to fans,” Lupe wrote. “I don’t like signing shoes and while I was joking with the kid at the show…I really don’t like signing shoes for people…bring whatever but shoes are a no no!”
