Logic has welcomed the arrival of his second child, sharing with his followers that the newborn is already a fan of Madlib’s music.

On Saturday (July 29), the Young Sinatra spitter took to Instagram to post a picture of him and his son Leo in a comfortable spot while gazing at the camera. “Me and my new Baby Leo chillin listening to Madlib,” he captioned the photo.

Some of his fellow rap peers showed love to the Maryland rapper and his new son in the comments section. “Congrats brother,” G Eazy wrote, while Ty Dolla $ign added: “Twins.”

Logic’s frequent collaborator Juicy J also chimed in, writing: “Life is beautiful.” As did Killer Mike who noted how much the rapper’s new baby looks like him. “Twin’N and Win’N,” he wrote.

Logic welcomed his second child with wife Brittney Noell on July 18. Noell previously posted a picture of the newborn baby on IG.

Her post was accompanied by a second photo of her and Logic’s firstborn son, Bobby, whose own arrival was announced almost exactly three years ago. “Our beautiful Leo was born and we couldn’t be happier,” Noell wrote in the caption. “We are all (especially Bobby) so in love.”

Logic first announced the pending birth of his new son in January, sharing a video from their ultrasound on IG. “Happy New Baby!” Logic captioned the post.

Cookin’ Soul, Lena Waithe, Project Pat and Rob Markman were but a few of Logic’s esteemed contemporaries who congratulated the rapper in the comments section.

As for his oldest son, the Under Pressure lyricist seems to already be teaching him how to produce some hits.

Last October, Logic posted a video of him handing off a drum kit to Bobby and instructing him how to use it. “Just press these here,” he said to his son, who could be seen toying around with the different buttons. “Just the colors baby.”

“Teaching my boy to make beats,” Logic wrote in the caption.

Logic is a huge Madlib fan and has never shied away from making it known to the public. In April 2021, both artists formed a rap-production duo called MadGic. Their first track “Mars Only Pt. 3” finds the then 31-year-old rapper going ham over a ’90s-style boom bap beat.

“Logic and Madlib is MadGic, your catalog tragic,” he raps. “Fuck a underground, fuck a pop sound/ Made this whole album in a lockdown, Hip Hop is our town/ Hairline like Doc Brown but I’m killin’ it.”

Elsewhere in the track, Logic boasts about having a whole album with Madlib just like Freddie Gibbs.

MadGic followed up with their second single, “Raddest Dad,” in May 2021. On the single, Logic travels back to 2011 and lists off all the artists who were blowing up alongside him including Kendrick LamarTravis ScottBig Sean, the late Mac Miller and more.

Their third single, “Mafia Music,” arrived in June 2021. Throughout “Mafia Music,” Logic references famous names such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Ellen DeGeneres and Star Wars director J.J. Abrams, while revealing that the MadGic joint album — aptly titled after their group name — was recorded in one night.

Last June, Logic spoke to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe about the silence over MadGic, revealing the album is “finished” but was brought to a halt due to sample clearances issues stemming from one of Madlib’s mushroom trips.
