Lil Durk and NBA YoungBoy have reportedly squashed their years-long beef, according to Akademiks.
The Off the Record podcast host announced the pair had resolved their beef on his live stream on Wednesday (May 3) during a conversation with another user.
“That beef is squashed. You ain’t hear?” Ak said. “I’m serious. Durk and YoungBoy don’t have beef no more.”
While neither rapper has confirmed Akademiks’ claim, Durkio liked a tweet from a YoungBoy fan account sharing the news.
While things between the pair have cooled these past few months, tensions rose last February when Lil Durk took shots at NBA YoungBoy on his track “AHHH HA.”
YoungBoy returned fire with “I Hate YoungBoy,” a scathing diss track that found the 23-year-old taking shots at Smurk and his then-fiancée India Royale.
“Why you drop that wack-ass song? Pussy bitch, you shoulda known,” YoungBoy spit. He also responded to Durk’s dig at his ex-girlfriend Jania Meshell, rapping: “Bitch, don’t bring my baby momma up, she richer than your n-ggas.”
Elsewhere, YoungBoy even called out Gucci Mane by saying he used to “fuck with” Guwop before he saw he was tight with “pussy n-ggas,” referring to Durk (who he worked with on “Rumors”). The pair then continued to take shots at each other on social media.
Their resentment for each other seemingly stemmed from King Von’s death in 2020. Von was allegedly killed by an affiliate of Quando Rondo, who is signed to YoungBoy’s Never Broke Again label and who the Top rapper has adamantly stood by in the wake of Von’s death.
However, YoungBoy said in a recent interview with Billboard that he’s turned a new leaf ever since he was introduced to Mormonism while on house arrest in Utah. He expressed regret at his past violent lyrics and said two missionaries that visited his house introduced him to the religion.
“I wanted help very badly,” YoungBoy admitted. “I needed a friend. And it hit me. It was just cool to see someone with a different mindset that had nothing to do with business or money — just these wonderful souls.”
“What if they don’t like me now?” YoungBoy went on to say, wondering about his fans’ thoughts on his less violent subject matter moving forward. “I’m not changing. I will not be provoked, I will not be broken, and I’m not going back to who I used to be. Accept it or not — I ain’t going back.”
NBA YoungBoy most recently dropped off his latest album Don’t Try This At Home, which boasted appearances from Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, The Kid LAROI and others.
As for Lil Durk, he’s currently hard at work on his forthcoming album The Voice 2.0, which is set to feature a cameo from J. Cole.

I typically wouldn’t believe anything Ak’s fat ass says, but the Durk’s Twitter like gives it more credibility. Good on them for squashing the beef and moving forward.
