Megan Thee Stallion unknowingly unleashed the wrath of Kodak Black producer Dyryk on Friday (October 8) when she tweeted the NBA YoungBoy catchphrase “YB Better” followed by “You fell off…period” and “If you an opp don’t tweet at me…this is not a group project.”
The tweets arrived shortly after Kodak Black rehashed the “drive the boat” controversy during an interview with Akademiks, once again claiming he created the catchphrase with a viral meme — not Megan Thee Stallion.
Knowing YoungBoy and Kodak Black have a sordid history, fans immediately came to the conclusion Megan was addressing Yak. So on Saturday (October 9), Dyryk posted a message to Megan on his Instagram Stories, accusing the award-winning rapper of using ghostwriters and lacking any real talent.
“@TheeStallion BEEN IN YOUR WRITING CAMPS WITH ALL YOUR ‘GO-TO WRITERS,'” he wrote in all caps. “YOU ARE DEFINITELY NOT THE TALENT BEHIND ANY OF YOUR RECORDS. GO CLING ON THAT BOTTLE AND RE-CUT THAT VERSE ONE MORE TIME, YOU DIDN’T MATCH THE REFERENCE THEY WROTE FOR YOU.”
Megan Thee Stallion has addressed allegations of ghostwriting before. In 2019, a woman named Wolftyla claimed she got her first placement on Hot Girl Meg’s Fever mixtape on the song “Simon Says” featuring Juicy J.
Megan fired back on her Instagram Stories, “I write all my own shit don’t let nobody gas you up like that. That clout shit crazy. Like I said don’t nobody write my shit for me… so don’t try to insinuate you did… just be clear from the beginning.
“I didn’t even know she had nothing to do with the song Juicy J say you ain’t write nothing. Simon says shut tf up.”
Wolftyla later explained how she wound up involved in the “Simon Says” song and expressed how frustrated she was about being portrayed as a liar.
“I was in a studio session and I was playing my music and somehow happened to leave the door open to the studio session, and Juicy [J]’s manager came in,” she said at the time. “I went in there [their studio], they played me a bunch of beats, I picked out the beats that I loved, I did some writing on it, melodies on it, and then boom.”
She added, “I was just going in there really humble Juicy J’s a legend and I’m not gonna sit here and bash him because, hey, the industry is the industry and business is business, but I definitely was going in there bright-eyed and really excited to work with him.”
Someone needs to give this young man some pointers. He runs his trap too much, and that’s why nobody likes him. He doesn’t know how to move out here. I think he means well (and he might be truthful about Meg) but quiet nigga!!!
Shocking revelation. This dude just split the atom.
Been known – A true musician who cares about her craft wouldn’t move like she does lol
Her last album, one song has 23 fucking writer credits on it. Not to mention its public knowledge Cardi B’s ghost writer is her boyfriend so its not much of a stretch to assume he writes for her too.
If she really did, she would spit actual ish, she’s a sex industry plant. She wouldn’t be so into shaking her beautiful figure if she did have talent. She needs something to fall back on just in case. Bc in actuality it’s ALL she knows. RIP to the dying breed of commercial female emcees that have to rely on sexual content. Fight the system. Have skill. But everybody, men snd women, will sell their soul rapping garbage bc that’s what the industry deems hot. We need to take it back. And ignore them. I hate gun touting tattooed male rappers with misogynistic skills. Plus female rappers welcoming it by flaunting their bodies. Just go back to the struggle, the rise and victory out of your cliched content. Why else does uplifting conscious rap not get any play?
You just said the realest shit I’ve ever heard on this website. I honestly applaud you. Whatever happened to talent? Yeah it’s there, but it’s not mixed up with the bullshit hip hop is currently shoving in our faces. Sad what the world has become
Chick took a break from rapping after being out for like a year. No passion for the craft. I believe every bit of the ghost written narrative
Its getting to the point wherevrappers are all actors anyways, so fuck it, write their rhymes too just like a movie script. If hip hop is going to be the WWE and a female rapper is going to beef with the rapper she was fucking and fake a foot injury, fuck it. Keep ghostwriting. Why even bother to hold them to street standards when we all call them actors ? Hold them to film actors standards. Maybe they can create the Rap Actors Guild or RAG for short.
If she had anything worth listening to she wouldn’t flaunt her puss talking about WAP. Her whole career is a gimmick to make stupid white bitches feel cool shaking their flat asses like Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, etc
not just white but blacks, azn, etc. megan is another industry plant that has nothing to offer when it comes to talent .
I always had a gut feeling about Slim Thug writing lyrics for Meg too. How you think he still surviving out here! J-Prince run artists from that area!
