Kendrick Lamar Spotted Filming Music Video In Los Angeles?

The ever-elusive Kendrick Lamar has been spotted in Los Angeles apparently shooting a new music video — at least that’s the general consensus. A photo of the Top Dawg Entertainment golden child sitting at a payphone rocking a pair of black Chuck Taylors, mustard yellow shorts and a white crewneck started making the rounds on Wednesday (September 2).

Naturally, the snap generated plenty of chatter on Twitter. Fans have been tirelessly waiting for a follow-up to the 2017 Pulitzer Prize-winning album DAMN. and this is the first solid indication something special is just around the corner.

While it’s entirely possible he’s being featured in another artist’s video or doing some kind of photo shoot, K. Dot diehards are praying the appearance is for a solo video.

In May, TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith promised Kendrick would return “soon” and urged his fans to “stay patient.”

But then, after Twitter tried to cancel both J. Cole and Kendrick for appearing not to use their massive platforms to support the Black Lives Matter movement, TDE president Terrence “Punch” Henderson Jr. responded to a comment from a fan urging him to “tell Kendrick it’s time for the real to return,” to which he said, “Nah. N*ggas don’t appreciate it.”

Despite the online optics, the Grammy Award-winning MC was on the front lines at protests around his hometown of Compton in June. Cole also participated in a protest in his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina in May, just days after the police killing of 46-year-old Black man George Floyd.

    1. What about Ab-Soul and Isaiah Rashad ?? T.D.E is clearly favoring some of its artists to the detriment of its other artists. If Ab-Soul and Isaiah Rashad have to wait 5/6 years between each albums to release some new shit they’re gonna be 75 years (figurely speaking) by the time they release their fifth album wtf ??! T.D.E is just ruinning their career by giving Kendrick and Schoolboy Q some kind of privilege when it comes to the frequency of their albums being released. Seriously Top Dawg and Punch need to review their business tactics for real ! And the same ish goes for Jay Rock and SZA…

      1. Schoolboy and Kenny are on interscope too so helps abit to get it pushed, also music’s not a machine as it’s art so I’d rather wait and have good stuff than shite pumped in your ears and eyes, nice comment though Shiit

      2. You forget that it also depends on whether the artist themselves feel they have an album worth releasing like for all we know Ab Soul is still working on his project or waiting for the right inspiration but I get you.

    2. This is great news. Kendrick, Drake and Cole all started around 2010. This is their chance to submit their final piece of work to close off the decade. Then we can decide who gets the crown
