Drake is hiding his status as a billionaire, according to Nicki Minaj.

In a video posted to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday (August 9), Nicki alluded to the OVO Sound hitmaker secretly being worth 10 figures while boarding a private jet.

“This is what happens when you got a rich — I’m sorry, a very rich, rich, rich, rich — Canadian friend… who is the only billionaire that I know that don’t want people to know he a billionaire,” she said in the clip.

Eagle-eyed fans also noticed the Queen rapper liked a tweet that read: “Shoutout to @Drake for being a billionaire too, even though you ain’t want no one to know [crying face emojis].”

While online estimates put his net worth at around $250 million, Drake has certainly proven his earning power since rising to fame over a decade ago.

Despite the negative impact waged on the music industry by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Toronto native still pulled in a reported $14.2 million in 2020, followed by a staggering $50 million in 2021.

That latter figure was seemingly a little light by Drake’s calculations, though, judging by his crying face emoji reaction.

In any case, Drizzy hasn’t been shy in flaunting his wealth lately. In March, he splashed $70 million on a swanky, 20,000-square foot Beverly Crest mansion that previously belonged to British pop star.

High-stakes bets have also become something of a norm for the 35-year-old, who has wagered over $1 billion in virtual currency — with mixed success — since joining the online gambling platform, Stake, last December.

Drake wouldn’t be the only billionaire in Hip Hop. JAY-Z became the first rapper to join the billionaire boys club in June 2019 thanks to his various stakes in TIDAL, Uber, Armand de Brignac and D’Usse, as well as his $75 million music catalog.
