On Thursday (July 28), Funk Flex took to Hot 97 airwaves to speak directly to the Dipset rapper, calling for him to release a new track in the next week and end the drought.
“Juelz Santana, you’ve been home for a few years now,” Flex said during his weekly radio show. “I am tired and I am exhausted, and we want a new Juelz Santana song. Juelz, I give you six days. Get me a new Juelz Santana song. Do you accept the challenge, yes or no?”
He continued: “You sitting on a lot of money. You came home. You created a multi-million dollar business, congratulations. We want the music. If anyone knows Juelz Santana, I challenge him to get me a song by next Thursday. Let me know if you going to accept the challenge, bro.”

Juelz Santana caught wind of Flex’s rant on Instagram and took the challenge in stride. “Let’s Gooo,” he responded in an Instagram Story.
The Harlem native has been promising fans new material since being taken off probation in February. During his recent visit to Drink Champs, the 40-year-old MC acknowledged the long wait for music, but explained he’s back in the studio and ready to flood the scene.
In May, he revealed he has a collaboration with Lil Durk on the way. “IM COMING… YALL NIGGAZ KNOW ME SANTANA x DURKIO On Da Way..O Yea Got A Lil Surprise On There 2.. #OffPappers #BackOutSide,” he wrote on Instagram while previewing the song.
Juelz Santana isn’t the only rapper to be challenged by Funk Flex lately. Earlier this month, the Hot 97 DJ sent Conway The Machine a beat for him to rap on following their social media spat, which was sparked by Conway’s complaint about “gatekeeper” DJs in New York.
The result was “RIP Steve Smith Freestyle,” which found the Griselda rapper addressing his squabble with Flex, among other topics, over Biz Markie’s “Nobody Beats the Biz.”
