Tory Lanez dropped a video for his new single “Mucky James” on Saturday (April 9) that appeared to address his court case involving Megan Theee Stallion.

“I’m startin’ to give like zero fucks ’bout how it’s goin’ down,” he raps. “They try to blackball me for money but I ain’t goin’ out/I told myself I’ll stop this bullshit and not speak up more … I can’t lie temporarily that bitch came and ruin shit/They can’t beliеve I’m back poppin’, I’m out here doin’ shit/’Hеy Tory, stop talking ’bout it,’ I wish I could but dawg/I’m only human, sometimes that shit be gettin’ to me.”
But according to Tory Lanez, he wasn’t referring to the situation whatsoever. The Canadian rapper took to Twitter on Monday (April 11) to claim he has “more sense” than to speak on the subject.

Tory Lanez was detained on April 5 with a $350,000 bail, leaving a Los Angeles courtroom in handcuffs after the latest hearing in his felony assault case. Judge David Herriford reportedly heard almost an hour of argument about his tweets, claiming some of them “seem to be clear messages” to Megan Thee Stallion. This led to a new condition to his bail that he’s “not to mention the complaining witness in this case in any social media.”
After being released from custody, Lanez said he felt “amazing” while entering his Lamborghini.

In October 2020, Tory Lanez was charged with a felony count of assault with a semi-automatic firearm and one count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. If convicted, he faces up to 22 years and eight months in prison. The trial date is set for September 14.
