Tory Lanez was briefly remanded in custody before posting his $350,000 bail after his tweets were found in violation of the Megan Thee Stallion criminal protection order on Tuesday (April 5). While leaving the Los Angeles courthouse for a hearing regarding his 2020 felony assault case, reporters caught up with the Canadian singer.
Lanez kept his interaction brief while telling those around him he felt “amazing” as he hopped into his Lamborghini Tuesday evening. Hours later, Tory checked into his Twitter account and capitalized on the attention by announcing new music was on the way.

On the way to the studio, he followed up on Twitter with a bunch of purple umbrella emojis. Tuesday proved to be a pivotal day in court where Judge David Herriford reportedly heard about an hour of arguments from Megan’s legal team and found Lanez’s social media activity to be targeting the Houston Hottie with “clear messages” subliminally sent her way.

It looked to be a February 23 tweet where Lanez referred to Meg as “U” and spoke about how he was “fucking two best friends” that triggered the judge’s motion.

“Good D*ick had me fucking 2 best friends … and I got caught … that’s what I apologized for … it’s sick how u Spun it tho,” he said at the time.

The judge added a new condition to his bail release that he must not mention Megan Thee Stallion in any form on social media as the case progresses. Rolling Stone‘s Nancy Dillon added that the trial is finally set to get underway on September 14 when both parties will be back in court.
