Just less than two weeks after being released from prison, a Brooklyn court judge issued a bench warrant for Foxy Brown’s arrest this morning.
According to TMZ.com, the arrest warrant was issued after Foxy failed to appear in court from an assault and weapons charge involving a Blackberry before her last incarceration. Her defense attorney was unable to reach the Koch Records artist, and was unsure of her whereabouts.
The judge was unable to reach the rapper upon also attempting to call her directly. HipHopDX will keep you posted as this story develops.
UPDATE: In response to a call placed by HipHopDX to Foxy’s attorney, Laura M. Dilimetin, seeking comment, late this afternoon Ms. Dilimetin left the following message with DX: “I just flew in from out of town and discovered that the court made a mistake. It will be rectified. The case had been adjourned from today to the 8th. So the (new hearing date) will be on May 8th, which is Thursday. And the warrant (for Foxy’s arrest) will be vacated because it was just a mistake, a misunderstanding. The case had been adjourned, (but) it will be on the 8th.” Prior to Foxy’s lawyer phoning DX late today, her thought-to-be manager, Chaz Williams, has apparently ceased working as the Don Diva’s manager writing to DX: “I don’t represent Foxy any more.”
