After eight months, Foxy Brown has finally walked out of the prison cell and back into civilized life.
At approximately 12:45pm, Foxy Brown (born Inga Marchand) was released from prison as a healthy conglomerate of fans and media greeted her. Foxy was elated to see the many supporters cheering her release as she offered hugs to those who waited.
Brown was sentenced a year in prison after violating probation in connection to an assault charge dating back to 2004. The initial assault charge was the now infamous incident that took place at a Manhattan salon four years ago. After being warned by a judge in 2007 that she would be incarcerated if another incident took place, Brown found herself in more trouble when she assaulted her neighbor five months later.
She now finds herself back in the scene as her 4th studio album, Brooklyn’s Don Diva, is on deck for a May 13th release as well as an upcoming reality show.
