Gunna has always shown love for his mama. The DS4EVER rapper – who has regularly showered his mom in expensive gifts over the years –pulled out all the stops for her birthday on Thursday (January 27), throwing her a massive surprise party that included all her friends and family while gifting her a brand new Mercedes-Benz.
But out of all the gifts given to Gunna’s mother, it was a check for an undisclosed amount that left her utterly speechless. In a video posted to Instagram, Gunna’s mother nearly falls back in her chair as she opens up the check and reads the amount. “Don’t fall,” a loved one can be heard calling out.
“My job today,” Gunna wrote in the video’s caption with a green checkmark. “Love you ma!”
Aside from dominating Billboard charts and being generous with his family, Gunna will be taking his DS4EVER tunes to a Super Bowl LVI weekend party on February 11.

The YSL signee will perform during DirecTV and Maxim’s Super Bowl LVI weekend party in Los Angeles. The party is called “MaximBet Music At The Market Powered by DIRECTV,” where Gunna will join a lineup that includes his fellow Drip Harder colleague Lil Baby.
The announcement comes after Gunna’s DS4EVER crept its way to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 on January 18, besting The Weeknd’s Dawn FM,which was the projected winner. The Atlanta rapper then bested The Weeknd again for a second week in a row on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop album chart.

Serving as the final entry in Gunna’s Drip Season series, DS4EVER dropped on January 7 and features appearances from Young Thug, Kodak Black, Future, Yung Bleu, 21 Savage, Chris Brown, Chlöe Bailey, Lil Baby and G Herbo.
