It’s no secret that Gucci Mane loves the Christmas holiday season. He’s released several Christmas-themed albums through his East Atlanta Santa series, and he’s bringing the vibes to his collective, The New 1017.

On Tuesday (December 14), Gucci Mane took to his Instagram page to announce he would be dropping an album with his team right in time for Christmas. The new project will be titled So Icy Christmas, and Gucci promises fans will be treated to a hell of a gift.

“It’s only right that East Atlanta Santa and the 1017 family give y’all a new tape this Friday 12/17/21 #SoIcyChristmas brrrr,” Gucci wrote.

The last project the collective dropped was So Icy Boyz in October. The compilation has features by Pooh Shiesty, 2021 HipHopDX Rising Star Foogiano, Enchanting, Big Scarr, BigWalkDog, Hotboy Wes, and BiC Fizzle. Before that they released So Icy Gang Vol. 1, which peaked at No. 46 on the Billboard 200.

Gucci Mane has been working extremely hard to keep this version of 1017 intact. Over the years, Gucci struggled with different iterations of his collective, but it finally seems like he has things in order. The new roster of artists has been bringing Gucci even more success.

In October, Gucci Mane took to his Twitter to demand the freedom of artists currently signed to him. Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, Hoodrich Pablo Juan, Ralo and Yung Mal are all Gucci’s artists and happen to be in prison on separate charges.

Since June, Pooh Shiesty has been sitting in prison for a charge involving allegations he shot a man in Florida last year. Ralo is currently serving jail time after being arrested for marijuana trafficking in 2018 and Foogiano was recently sentenced to five years for cutting off his ankle monitor stemming from another case.
