ALPHA season is upon us. Today (September 29), CL shared “Lover like Me,” the second single off her upcoming full-length debut due next month.

CL shared a teaser of the video on Monday and wrote on Instagram, “Remember the last time you called me Chaelin?” In the clip, she sings, “You will never, ever, find a lover like me.”

“Lover Like Me” follows last month’s “SPICY,” which featured a cameo from award-winning actor John Malkovich and a live remix performance with fellow South Korean rappers Omega Sapien of Balming Tiger, Lil Cherry, and sokodomo.

No release date has been revealed yet on when ALPHA will drop. The album was initially planned to be released in November 2020 but was postponed to make room for idea development, according to CL’s Instagram Stories. In an interview with Billboard, CL said that ALPHA is a representation of her growth. “2020 was the beginning of my rebirth and rewriting my own story… I can freely share different sides of me.” She also told Allure Magazine that ALPHA will embody her alpha-female side and exhibit never-before-seen sides of herself.

In other CL news, the South Korean star attended the Met Gala earlier this month, donning a denim ensemble by Alexander Wang.
