Once police made contact with the vehicle, Urena said when he got in his car, a group of men pointed a gun at him and shot at him as he drove away. During a search, police found a gun magazine in Urena’s bag. Consequently, he’s been charged with additional counts, including theft and a weapons charge.

“In less than 24 hours, Miami Beach detectives were able to ensure those responsible for the shooting were arrested and charged,” MBPD spokesperson Ernesto Rodriguez said. “We will now work closely with the State Attorney’s Office to ensure a successful prosecution.”
