Update: According to TMZ, DaBaby’s lawyer, Drew Findling, relayed that his client has been released from the police and no criminal charges have been filed.

DaBaby was interviewed by Miami police after a shooting took place on Monday night (May 31) which left two individuals with gunshot wounds. According to Page Six, DaBaby and his entourage were temporarily detained by law enforcement for their alleged involvement in the South Beach shootout.

“DaBaby and his crew had an issue with people right next to them in the car,” a source allegedly revealed to Page Six. “DaBaby and his crew were traveling in around six SUVs, and either a car pulled up on them and started something or their doors hit each other and they got in a fight.”

Fox Sports‘ Andy Slater is also reporting that DaBaby “fired off one round” in self-defense outside popular South Beach restaurant Prime 112 and that he admitted this to police. Slater also claims DaBaby’s artist Wisdom was also questioned by authorities.

According to Miami Beach police spokesman, Ernesto Rodriguez, no arrests have been made in the shooting that left two injured following several rounds being fired shortly before midnight on Memorial Day. Both victims were transported to nearby Jackson Memorial Hospital with one remaining in critical condition.
