Clout chasing is a real thing and it made for one of the more hilarious memes of 2016.

Joe Budden‘s running man meme became infamous after the Joe Budden Podcast host had to run after a few social media trolls for harassing him. He took to Instagram on Saturday (July 25) to celebrate his accomplishment.

“4 years ago today i chased a car down with rocks in my hand to have a talk with some enthusiastic Drake fans….” Budden wrote. “For those of you too young to know, i am a fucking internet legend and shall be respected as such. Toast to me. (and i caught the car, Chuck Norris WHO!?!)”

Back in 2016 during their feud, Budden sent four diss tracks Drake’s way after Drake hit the Joe Budden Podcast star with a few subliminal shots. A pair of Drizzy fans didn’t take too kindly to Budden’s disses of their favorite rapper and spotted Budden outside of his New Jersey home. The two made it up to Budden’s driveway before he spotted them.

“What are y’all fuckin’ crazy?” he asked the two kids as they were filming the entire thing on Snapchat.

The video didn’t end there as Budden began chasing after the teens in his vehicle and eventually sped up to them. After a brief moment, the retired rapper appeared via the sunroof of the car, armed with rocks in his hand.

“Come on my fucking block again, I’m gonna kill one of you lil niggas,” Budden tells the group as the person filming screams in horror in the backseat.

Budden added, “This is not the Internet. I will kill one of you.”

One of the early pioneers of Hip Hop and modern social media, Budden also made sure to film the incident from his point of view. During the brief chase, he tells the world why internet fame isn’t the way to go, especially when it comes to him.

“I keep saying these lil Internet games gon’ get one of you niggas killed,” Budden says in the video.

In the end, it turned into not even 15 minutes worth of fame for the kid who ran up on Joe. Drake never followed him, and both Drake and Budden seemed to have cooled off on their beef — for now.
