After a successful first installment on his birthday, Golden Era rapper turned platinum producer Kwamé returned with his second One Song Classic Hip Hip Breakfast Jam on Saturday (April 19) via Instagram Live.

This time around, things were more streamlined and polished. Aside from an old school outfit contest — sponsored by Diadora and 9Tees Hip Hop — there was another batch of special guests, including Wise Intelligent of Poor Righteous Teachers, Biz Markie, Freeway, Big Daddy Kane and Ras Kass.

As a change of pace from just performances, Kwam had a great discussion with Doug E Fresh. The iconic beatboxer shared his thoughts on the evolution of Hip Hop as well as talked about his new song “20 Seconds or More“ featuring Artie Green and Gerry Gunn, created in collaboration with Hip Hop Public Health.

There was also a community partner, Community Coalition (CoCo) — an organization built to help transform the social and economic conditions in Southern Los Angeles (currently celebrating 30 years). The organization’s president, Alberto Retana, joined Kwam to share a few words about some of CoCo’s efforts.
