Former G-Unit Records president Sha Money XL has accused Joyner Lucas of lying about their now-defunct working relationship. On Wednesday (August 28), Joyner revealed he’d fired Sha Money earlier this year and finally understood why Fiddy didn’t like him.
“When @50cent started publicly airing out ShaMoneyXL and assassinating his character, I never understood it.. I get it now,” he tweeted. “i let him go 6 months ago because he doesn’t work but wants to collect a check. I got a lot of questions I believe only 50 can answer. Tell 50 hit me.”
Several hours later, Sha Money fired back and said Lucas wasn’t telling the truth.
“These rap niggas tell lies and always wanna act like victims,” he wrote.

50 broke down his reasons for taking issue with Sha Money in 2015. He essentially accused him of being greedy.
“When the the money came, when the check came, Sha [Money XL] started going like everybody else, just started reaching in my pockets,” 50 said during a 2015 HangWith session. “Trying to get the money, as much money as they could get. He charged the most he’s every charged for a track for ‘Blood Hound’ on Get Rich or Die Tryin’.
“I said, ‘Cool, just give him the money.’ Then he came back around and said, ‘How do you charge for studio time?’”
In return, Sha Money called 50 a “Walmart ass nigga,” and simply stated, “A cheap person will do cheap things.”
