An affiliate of slain rapper XXXTENTACION was reportedly shot in the head in Florida over the weekend but expected to survive.
According to several tweets from WPLG Local 10 reporter Madeleine Wright, the shooting took place in Pompano Beach, Florida outside of a local convenience store. Family later named the victim as 16-year-old aspiring rapper C Glizzy (real name Christian Moore).
“Family members identify the teenager shot in the head in Pompano Beach yesterday as Christian Moore, an up-and-coming rapper known as CGlizzy,” Wright tweeted on Sunday (June 16). “He underwent surgery for his injuries at Broward Health North.

While at Broward Health North, Moore’s mother said doctors removed a bullet from her son’s head. Although he’s heavily sedated and currently unable to speak, his mother believes he’ll make a full recovery.

Gun violence is far too common these days. X was shot and killed in June 2018 as he was leaving RIVA Motorsports in what police believe was a botched robbery.

It’s unclear what the motives behind Moore’s shooting are. The Broward County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating.
