Beyoncé has upped the ante of her Netflix documentary’s release by dropping a surprise live album to coincide with the film. The music superstar’s Homecoming: The Live Album is comprised of 40 tracks, including some bonus studio recordings.
Queen Bey’s latest project features the official release of her song “I Been On,” which first surfaced in 2013, and a cover of Frankie Beverly and Maze’s “Before I Let Go.” The LP also contains a version of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” by Blue Ivy Carter.

The rumors and hints were true: a Beyoncé film is coming to Netflix.
After teasing a release titled Homecoming on Sunday (April 7), the streaming service confirmed it’s a Beyoncé documentary by dropping a trailer on Monday (April 8).
The preview features the words of the late poet Maya Angelou and behind-the-scenes footage of Queen Bey. The teaser also includes video from her performance at the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

The Beyhive is on high alert after Netflix teased a new release titled Homecoming, which is scheduled to drop on April 17.
Netflix announced Homecoming via a social media graphic on Sunday morning (April 7). Beyoncé fans quickly deduced it had something to do with Queen Bey after seeing the color scheme and font style, which she also used for her Coachella merchandise.

Last week, an US Weekly report revealed Beyoncé had a Netflix special in the works. The project reportedly is related to her critically acclaimed performance at the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, adding more credence to fans’ assumptions about Homecoming.
So far, Beyoncé hasn’t publicly commented on the rumored Netflix release. The Beyhive, however, has plenty to say about it.
