New York, NY

ScHoolboy Q is slowly but surely emerging from the shadows ahead of his next album. After dropping “Numb Numb Juice,” the TDE powerhouse stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where he unveiled another new song titled “Chopstix” featuring vocals from Travis Scott.

During his performance, he belted out a medley of both tunes.

Q took a break following Mac Miller’s September 2018 death. The two collaborators were close friends and his sudden passing apparently hit him hard. Shortly after Miller’s fatal overdose, Q addressed the crowd at one of his concerts and explained why he was delaying his album.

“With my nigga gone right now, I just don’t feel right putting out an album,” he said. “As y’all can tell, I’m not my real self right now. I shouldn’t even be here right now. But like I said, my nigga Mac would not want me in the house sad. He would clown me for some weird shit.

“So, like I said, I’m here today ’cause it’s no way he would allow me to sit in the house and be a little bitch. I’m not gon’ be a little bitch. I’m out here.”

Six months later, Q is seemingly ready to go. Although there aren’t many details available on the impending project, the couple of tracks he has unveiled should hold his fan over until the album arrives.
