Killer Mike plans to disrupt the status quo with his new television show. The veteran MC has teamed up with Netflix to release a teaser for their upcoming series Trigger Warning, which tackles topics such as the branding of the Crips and the depiction of Jesus as a white man.
“Trigger Warning is about examining cultural taboos and giving viewers the space to examine the ‘what ifs’ and ‘why nots’ that limit how some people move and operate in the world,” Mike said a statement released alongside the trailer.
The Run The Jewels member’s Netflix series is scheduled to premiere on January 18. The inaugural season is comprised of six episodes, providing Mike with a new outlet to be provocative beyond music.

“In six episodes, we explore the human condition using nontraditional approaches,” he noted. “Not everyone will agree with my methods (and some of what we’re putting out is fucking crazy), but this show is about embracing your freedom to challenge societal expectations and conformity. This show is if an anarchist determined the status quo.”
