Jay-Z’s made history with the “Jay-Z Hangar Tour” this past
weekend and HipHopDX was on the scene at Jay’s final stop at TAO nightclub in
Las Vegas to witness this historical event. Although Jay had already hit six
cities before making his final stop in the fire hazard capacity venue the
Jiggaman showed no signs of fatigue on stage. As he and Memphis Bleek took to
the stage at roughly 3:30am, the crowd erupted more than can be described by
words.
Floyd Mayweather, Paris Hilton and Donald Fasion were some
of the celebrities that were in attendance to witness Jay-Z rock the mic
relentlessly. While many shows were about 25-30min in length, Jay felt the need
to give Las Vegas something special as he rocked for 45min and giving us
special treats like “30-Something” and “99 Problems.” The capacity crowd looked
on as Jay pounded them with song after song, weaving through his catalog with a
particular swiftness that never allowed the audience to catch their collective breaths.
As Jay capped off his set with “I Just Wanna Luv U” the
night was one to be remember. Not just because of Jay-Z’s historic tour but
because of the absolute pandemonium that one man can cause. Just another bit to
add to his growing legacy.
