Not that Rapsody needs the affirmation, but it’s always encouraging when someone recognizes the talent in a fellow artist. On Saturday (December 2), the ever-popular Cardi B jumped on Twitter to rave about Rapsody’s music and give it the “Bardi” stamp of approval.

“My road manager put me on to some Rapsody last night and I really really like it !!!! It hit the Bardi in me !!,” she wrote.

Naturally, Rapsody quickly returned the love on Twitter.

“Mad love, sis! I appreciate you and celebrate you! Love your glow!,” Rapsody replied.

Rapsody dropped her critically acclaimed album Laila’s Wisdom in September with features from notable artists like Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak, Busta Rhymes, Black Thought and BJ the Chicago Kid. The Def Jam Recordings release served as the North Carolina MC’s second album and was produced primarily by 9th Wonder. The seasoned beatsmith also joined the social media love fest following Cardi’s tweet.

Cardi’s co-sign tops off a monster week for Rapsody. Earlier this week, she earned two Grammy Award nominations for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song for the track “Sassy.” Meanwhile, Cardi also earned two Grammy nods in the Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song categories for (yep!) the chart-crushing “Bodak Yellow.”
