London, England

The MTV EMAs (Europe Music Awards) kicked off on Sunday (November 12) at London’s Wembley Arena, where Eminem opened up the ceremony. After starting the song in a pub, Slim Shady took the stage to perform his new single, “Walk On Water,” which was released on Friday (November 10) after weeks of anticipation.

Noticeably absent was Beyoncé, who sings the hook on the Revivaltrack. In her place, the song’s co-producer, Skylar Grey, sat at the piano and belted out the hook in head-to-toe white while the Detroit rap god ferociously delivered his highly personal, introspective bars.

As Eminem fans continue to wait on an official release date for his upcoming ninth studio album, an insider with knowledge of the Detroit rap titan has reportedly blown the lid off plans for the project’s rollout.

According to an article published by The Sun, Slim Shady is gearing up for a “massive performance” at the MTV EMAs (Europe Music Awards) on Sunday (November 12) at the 12,500 capacity SSE Wembley Arena in London.

“This is Eminem fully relaunching his career after a few years out and gathering his thoughts,” the unidentified source told The Sun. “It will be a massive performance.”

The article also reported that Revival, as the album is expected to be called, will be released on November 17.

There are many theories about Slim Shady’s album release date, including three signs that point to November 17. Em’s musical guest spot on Saturday Night Live is November 18 and a HITS Daily Double report from early October claimed there’s “very loud chatter” indicating November 17 is the magical day.

In the meantime, Em has recently launched a limited edition batch of embroidered “Stan” merch and who can forget his powerful BET Hip Hop Awards freestyle from last month?
