50 Cent has revealed that Donald Trump offered him $500,000 to make an appearance during his presidential campaign last year. 50 says the move was in an attempt to help persuade African-Americans to vote for Trump.

“Before he got elected, they was having issue with the African-American vote,” 50 said during a recent interview with Hot 97. “They wanted to pay me $500,000 as a part of the campaign to just make an appearance. I was like, ‘Nah, that’s not good money.’ I’m not gonna do that. That’s not worth it.”

In the 2016 election, around 16.4 million African-Americans voted, making up approximately 11.9 percent of the voting demographic, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau. In its post-election analysis, the BBC reported just eight percent of African-Americans voted for Trump on November 8.

50 also briefly offered his thoughts on the Trump presidency, saying, “His presidency is an accident. If you were a president by accident, you might do some of the things Donald Trump is doing.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the G-Unit frontman spoke on his critical views of JAY-Z’s 4:44, why Ebro can’t continue to blame him for the state of New York City Hip Hop and how Floyd Mayweather Jr. really feels towards Conor McGregor.
