Despite his current incarceration, podcast host Taxstone seemed to be in good spirits during a recent phone conversation with Brooklyn rapper Casanova.

Video of the call, which took place on March 13 during a listening session for Casanova’s Be Safe Tho mixtape, was uploaded to his Instagram profile.

The two briefly traded jokes as those at the listening session chuckled at the back-and-forth.

“Aye yo, beloved. You beating your dick in there, beloved. You ain’t getting no pussy, beloved,” Casanova said in the video.

“Just keep it moving out there. Nigga, be safe,” Taxstone added, toward the end of the video.

Casanova also provided the following caption for the video of his phone convo with Taxstone:

“Life is to be lived. If you have to support yourself, you had bloody well better find some way that is going to be interesting. And you don’t do that by sitting around.Hope that don’t go over y’all heads.”

Following Taxstone’s arrest in January due to his alleged involvement in last year’s concert shooting at Irving Plaza, Casanova dropped “Tax Letter.” The song, which takes its musical cue from Jay Z’s “Song Cry,” serves as an open letter to Tax.
