Producer J Dilla (also known as Jay Dee) has passed away today. Details remain sketchy but many have known that Dilla had been suffering with kidney problems over the past few years.
He may be best known as one of the founding members of Slum Village and has contributed to a number of projects. From Busta Rhymes and Madlib to more recently the critically acclaimed project from Common titled Be and his marvelous instrumental project titled Donuts, J Dilla was considered one of the finest producers in the game.
