DDG has lost joint custody of his son, Halo, to ex-girlfriend Halle Bailey after she accused him of physical and verbal abuse.
According to court documents, Bailey has been granted temporary sole custody of their one-year-old child following the actor and singer’s claims that DDG was violent towards her.
Bailey will maintain sole legal and physical custody until June 4 when a hearing is scheduled to determine the future of the arrangement.
DDG is also not allowed within 100 yards of either Bailey or Halo until a judge rules otherwise.

Bailey has also requested that DDG not be allowed visitation with his son but supervised visits once a week.
Bailey further petitioned the court to not allow DDG to take Halo out of the state of Los Angeles.
The Little Mermaid star has also asked the judge that DDG be not permitted to travel with Halo without her permission and not be allowed to apply for passports and related documents for their son.

In the event that DDG does have to travel with Halo, she has asked that she be provided with a copy of his travel schedule and an open ticket for her in case her son is not returned as planned.
In her filing, Bailey detailed several instances of alleged abuse at the hands of her former boyfriend.
In court documents, Bailey said: “Throughout our relationship. Daryl has been and continues to be physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive towards me. I am seeking orders to protect myself and our son Halo from his ongoing abuse.”
Bailey claimed that since their breakup last year, there have been multiple instances of physical violence.

In January, Bailey claimed DDG attacked her as she tried to strap their baby in a car: “The next thing I knew, things got physical between us. We fought each other, wrestling and tussling. At one point, Darryl was pulling my hair. He then slammed my face on the steering wheel, causing my tooth to get chipped. I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain.”
Bailey’s filing also included photos of what she claims are injuries caused by DDG.
Bailey also alleges in March that that DDG verbally berated her when she refused to send their son to him when he was sick.
She claims he then smashed her Ring doorbell when he realised it was recording the confrontation and that Bailey filed a police report over the incident.
