Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge to lend their talents to “Luke Cage” television show.

According to Cheo Hodari Coker, the executive producer and showrunner for the upcoming, Netflix original series “Luke Cage,” musicians Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge will provide the score for the show.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Coker also revealed that the Marvel show will have “a ’90s hip-hop vibe.”

“It’s very sophisticated. I mean, it’s got a ’90s hip-hop vibe, but it’s really forward-thinking. We have Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad doing the scoring for us,” Cheo Hodari Coker said.

No stranger to television, Coker has also served as producer for “Southland,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “Ray Donovan,” and a handful of other shows.

Early last year, Ali Shaheed Muhammad announced that he was working on a joint album with Adrian Younge. It has since been revealed that the name of the project is The Midnight Hour, and is scheduled for release later this year.
